Spa in snow

I went to the coffee shop, but it was empty, so I took my place. Out the window I could see the snow falling, and some sanatoriums from the beginning of the 20th century. Most of them have been closed and destroyed. It's a pity how they deteriorate. Szczawnica is a small, romantic spa, and it is still popular among people who spend their holidays here. I don't understand why so many buildings here are in such a bad condition. Only a small number of them are renovated and it makes the center of town very beautiful.

It was my first day in San Francisco

A hotel in which a conference was held seemed to be a very good place for such event, but when I awoke in the first morning I was depressed. It was like an island between highways, far far away from the real world I like so much. During a coffee brake I broke through roads and car parks in direction could be promising. In the end I stud on a bank of Bay and I was observing aircrafts.

it was a chair I think...

Newcastle 9 – 13 June 2008
This is a roof of a discotheque. Behind it there is a gallery, around a very nice square. I didn’t notice the chair at first time, but it seems to me the most interesting – I could see it only from my window.

a citizen of Padova

After long day of trip we went to a restaurant in Padua a bit too early. The door was open but staff was surprised seeing guests at half past six. We could observe how the restaurant was preparing to another evening – like in the film I Served the King of England. The main hero of the film was like an actor playing in a spectacle. The same was with those waiters in the restaurant.
In the photo: a citizen of Padua. You can meet such pictures almost everywhere.

Asvallagata

Asvallagata – we were missed there many times. We knew the name of the street and how looked a house and a fence. The name of the street become a vulgar word in jokes: “och, the weather is so windy today, asvallagata!!!”

walk with a dog

I spent holidays at home. This is a mature choice to stay at home if you have a dog which is afraid of a sound of fireworks. He feels better with his friends and in places he knows well. We were escaped from those sounds to the nearest meadows. This is a beautiful surroundings. Two artificial lakes, empty fields – with flowers in the spring or summer time and flat white sheets in winter. I knew haw it was there, but I was really surprised when I saw frozen lakes with anglers on it, fishing in theirs blowhole. I really don’t understand such kind of hobby but I must admit that they looked beautiful in this landscape. I saw also a wild deer running into a forest. It’s hardly difficult to believe that this place is so close to such a big city.
I didn’t have my camera with me during the walk so I publish a photo form Plovdiv. It is also connected with my holidays: during them I tried to get some control over a mess in my computer. I deleted many files and photos. Thanks to that I found many things which reminded me nice memories. In the photo you can see the view from hotels window. It was two years ago.
This is a mosaic, but I can treat it as a graffiti, can’t I?
